We are a team of music lovers first and foremost; record buyers, gig goers, DJ’s, authors, broadcasters and musicians who have come together to produce a monthly magazine that showcases all that is great in Irish music and our city’s gigging and clubbing scene. From indie to classical, jazz to pop, reggae to punk, electro to folk, hip hop to metal, we give a voice to all aspects of our thriving musical communities, as well as highlighting the great work the people behind the scenes do to keep our night time economy ticking.

My own journey into reportage started in the late 1990’s when I wrote for the late, lamented Dublin Event Guide, a fortnightly print publication that was in those pre-internet days, the go-to for all cultural events in this city. Nothing can replicate that time but here at Goo HQ we hope to bring you some helpful guidance to what this great city has to offer.
