    EDITOR

    Meet John Brereton, Editor of The Goo and Totally Dublin. John cut his journo chops with the much missed Dublin Event Guide and The Dubliner before moving into the events world when he founded The Grand Social venue. Chief Booker there for 10 years John came up with the Goo concept post Covid and brings experience from every aspect of the music industry including onstage where he writes and plays guitar with Indie stalwarts Sack.

    Aaron Kavanagh is a writer and multimedia journalist based in Dublin, who has been published in the likes of the Irish Daily Star, Buzz.ie, HeadStuff, Totally Dublin, The GOO, and others. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the cultural website, PostBurnout.com.

    Des Traynor writes fiction, essays, criticism and reviews, about books, music, film, theatre, visual art and travel. His work has appeared in The Irish Times, The Sunday Independent, The Irish Independent, The Sunday Tribune, The Dubliner, Magill, The World of Hibernia, Books Ireland, Film Ireland, Film West, Dublin Review of Books and, of course, The Goo.

    He is a Hennessy Literary Award winner, and once wrote a novel which was nominated for the Hughes & Hughes Irish Novel of the Year Award. More recently, he has been awarded Bursaries in Literature from The Arts Council of Ireland and Fingal County Council, towards a collection of essays which he hopes may eventually see the light of day. Like everyone else, he plays guitar.

You’ll see his work on the magazine covers, LPs, books, posters, reels and videos and he still gets a buzz from that every time. You might see him to the side of a stage near you.
