BLAB002 - The Grand Social - 17/6/26

BLAB, the Irish alternative quarterly, hosted their second show, BLAB002, at the Grand Social Wednesday night. The lineup included four hot Dublin bands, the first being Eppie, the nostalgic indie pop band with a sensitive approach to music. Tasteful guitar and exciting drums with haunting vocals overtop – a great way to ease into the night. Next, Telekura took to the stage with their stoic stage presence, creating the atmosphere that would hold the rest of the night. Synths entangled with reverby guitar and a crowd letting themselves get absorbed into it. After Telekura’s phenomenal set, Cable Boy stepped onstage, playing something in between Tame Impala and TV Girl. Synth samples and chorus jangles, along with bass lines that had everyone dancing. The final act of the night was the powerful For Nina, filling the room with their wall of emotional madness. Gripping vocals over dual guitars and  violent drums keeping everything intact. The night was too short, the crowd wanted more, BLAB002 was a concert you should have been at.
