Speaking on the single, lead singer Robert Ryan says it’s his favourite and the lyrics feel honest and like a conversation throughout the verses. The lyrics are also somber-feeling combined with chuggy guitar riffs in the chorus. The guitars alternate between tuned down and energetic throughout the single.
